Corrections and Updates

The normal mode for using the Index is the one presented when you first open the program, the "Looking Only" mode. At lower right you can change the mode of use to one where you intend to make changes or additions. To change to this "Edit" mode click the "YES" button. When you click the "NO" button the mode returns to the "Looking Only" mode. Fig.1 (in the page concerning the Use of the Program) is the "Looking Only" mode, while Fig.2 (below) is the "Edit" Mode, as reported in the Title Bar of the screen.

Fig.2 - This is the screen of the program as it appears after you change to "Edit" mode, and after you used the Record Buttons at the foot of the screen to find the item in Issue 65, page 162. Each item is presented in numerical sequence of Issue Number and Page Number, hence the changed Record number at the foot of the screen.

Note that the record displayed in Fig.1 and in Fig.2 is the same record, but the record numbers in the lower edge of the screen is different. This is because the records are in a different sequence. You can also see that the total number of records is the same in each of these figures.

Any of the data can be amended, i.e. to correct any errors found, to add new journal details as they are received, to add more cross indexes into any of the category lists, or to remove one or more, etc. New topics can be added in any of the category lists.

However, if in the future NAPE provides an updated list, the updates will overwrite any individual changes made. So if a member finds errors or shortcomings, please send us the details to the Secretary/treasurer so that the changes can be made to the master copy, which would then be used to make later updates available to all owners of the index. Such updates will be placed on the Association's website, www.nape.info, so members can download the latest copy.
