About NAPE
NAPE provides a forum for the discussion of all aspects of competitive aspects of the hobby of stamp collecting and the science of philately. It is of equal value to both exhibitors and judges. The main vehicle for discussion is the circulation to all members of The Asia Pacific Exhibitor , now recognised as the leading journal in its field. From humble beginnings, the membership is now around 300 with subscribers in all continents.
NAPE was formed 1987 and the first issue of The Asia Pacific Exhibitor posted to member in January 1988. In recent years, each volume of The Asia Pacific Exhibitor has contained a total of 256 pages. In addition there have been additional Special Issues, for example that of April 2000 comprises 88 pages devoted to the FIP Regulations and Guidelines, with the Australian Philatelic Federation Guidelines for non-FIP exhibiting classes.
The Asia Pacific Exhibitor contains articles devoted to all aspects of exhibiting and judging, together with book reviews, accounts of international exhibitions, a timetable of forthcoming FIP/FIAP Exhibitions and lively correspondence from philatelists worldwide. You can inspect PDF versions of our journals for 2006 on our Journals page.
Although The Asia Pacific Exhibitor is the flagship of the NAPE, the Association also:
Arranges meetings of members, and others interested in the Association, at all International and National Exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to extending this to major exhibitions in Asia and elsewhere – LONDON 2000 was our first venture into Europe.
Presents a handsome NAPE prize at International and National Exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand
NAPE operates with a minimal administrative team, which comprises The Editor, Secretary/Treasurer and a Convenor. In addition there are NAPE Representatives in each Australian State and Territory and North and South Islands of New Zealand. We would be pleased to extend these representations to countries within the Asia-Pacific region and, if possible worldwide.
